Around Abaco: Oeisha’s Resort and Sandy Point offer many different opportunities for entertainment, whatever your pleasure.
Oeisha’s Bar has a pool table, playing cards, dominoes for our game players, & satellite television for those of us who can’t do without. We have a vast variety of music & a spacious dance floor to dance the night away. For the singers, we have a karaoke machine for your music pleasure. Enjoy delicious drinks while you sing the night away mingling with the locals.

Although an entire trip could be spent in Sandy Point, there are several places throughout the Abacos well worth the visit. It’s hard to visit Southern Abaco without visiting the Sandy Point National Reserve Forest. Early in the morning you can see and hear the Abaco Parrots in the cedar trees. On a hot and steamy afternoon, there is no better refuge from the sun than the pine forest. You will be able to hear and feel the cedar trees singing in the breeze.

Oeisha’s Resort has a number of books for the avid reader to enjoy on the beach or in one of our many comfortable seating areas throughout the resort.  We have a beautiful beach for you to enjoy yourself however you wish. There is volleyball net right on the beach. Areas to sit in the shade or areas to fulfill a sun-worshiper’s dream. You can fish right from the beach at high tide or pick up gorgeous seashells at low tide.  Your imagination is our limit.

Once you venture out into our settlement and beyond, the possibilities are endless. Sandy Point has shops, bars, endless miles of white sandy beaches and waters for you to explore. If you want to take you adventure to the sea, we have things for that also.  Snorkeling, flats fishing, and deep sea fishing are some favorite activities of our guests.  Or, a guide can take you out to have fun in the sun and sea.  Boats and guides are available to you at an extra charge.  No agenda is required.

Come visit one of our Churches in Sandy Point.  You are welcome to join any of our Church families while you are away from yours.  Please ask for service times and Denominations for during your stay.

One of Oeisha’s favorite day trips is to Great Guana Cay.  Here you will arrive by ferry. Upon arrival, you will visit Nippers, a restaurant/bar on the island of Great Guana Cay.  Nippers has very good food for you to feast upon.  Here you will enjoy a beautiful beach with coral reefs you can swim to.  Nippers has very good food for you to feast upon. Bahamian music and drinks can be enjoyed from their saltwater pool. On Sunday, they offer a huge buffet.  The food selection is vast and all delicious.  The last ferry will bring you back to Marsh Harbour.  You will then be treated to a sun set ride back to Sandy Point.

Oeisha’s offers Day Trips to Marsh Harbour for further exploration of the island.  Here you can do your duty-free shopping and dine in your choice of several different restaurants.  All of our out island day trips will start with an early morning departure from Sandy Point, between 8am and 9am.  You will first travel to Marsh Harbour, where you will catch a ferry to the destination of your choice.  The ferries typically depart Marsh Harbour between 9:30am an 10:30am and the final ferry will arrive back to Marsh Harbour around 5:35pm.

Oeisha’s offers several Day Trips to places like Hope Town, Man-of-War, and Green Turtle Cay just to name a few.   These day trips mostly offer walking tours and a few driving tours through these historic Bahamian settlements.  Here you will do a lot of sight seeing.  Beaches, restaurants, local attractions, cemeteries, and quaint, colorful Bahamian houses are all part of your trip.  Make sure you bring your cameras.

Lastly, Oeisha’s offers Day Trips to Treasure Cay.  Treasure Cay has been rated one of the top ten beaches in the world.  Here you can enjoy a wonderful day at the beach with music, food, and drinks.  Or how about golf for the day?  You can enjoy one of Abaco’s world renowned golf courses, located right next to the water.  You will have plenty of beautiful scenery to view between greens.
 
Depending on the time of your travels, there might be local festivals that you may want to attend. We will be sure to let you know about any activities that are happening while you are staying with us. A local holiday or a community fish fry, which raises money for the community is always fun and exciting!
